Bilal Mahmood is bankrolled by billionaires and endorsed by Republicans. To cover it up, he is running TV ads about being a "neuroscientist," A "former Obama staffer," and the Director of a "climate non-profit." The only problem is...it's all made up.
Mahmood has no Phd or MD, no Masters or undergraduate neuroscience degree, and has never published a paper on Neuroscience. Yet abracadabra, he magically conjures himself a "Neuroscientist". A completely false statement simply meant to create the illusion of expertise.
Mahmood is under Ethics Commission investigation for illegally using funds for his DCCC campaign to subsidize his campaign for Supervisor. The DCCC campaign has no contribution limits; the Supervisor campaign can only raise $500 per person. Quite a card trick!
Mahmood is running for DCCC on a slate that is literally financed by billionaires and endorsed by Republicans. Mahmood is no stranger to wealth. Although he calls himself a "Tenderloin renter," he is rich enough to pour $600,000 of his own money into his own political campaigns.
Mahmood claims to be the Director of a non-profit, but it simply doesn't exist. When you scour the business and non-profit filings of the California Secretary of State and the CA Attorney General, poof! No such organization is listed, and their website is a simple outdated page. Truly amazing!
Mahmood says he moved to San Francisco in 2014. Yet for six long years, he simultaneously cast his votes (when he did vote) in Santa Clara County. A true master of being in two places at once -- unfortunately it is a crime to lie about your residency and vote in a city where you don't live.
Mahmood's ads call him a former Obama staffer, but the truth is that two years after college, Mahmood began a 5-month stint as a low-level government intern. But with a wave of his wand, his campaign ads magically transform him into an "Obama Administration Policy Analyst." The title conjures images of high-level influence. In reality, it's just a puff of smoke.
Keep up with Bilal Mahmood's lies as he tries to trick voters. He keeps inventing new ones!
